How Aggression Rehab Actually Works
Assessment & Decompression
Your dog arrives, settles, and is assessed without pressure — triggers, thresholds, bite history, and what actually drives the aggression. Individually housed from day one. No protocol before diagnosis.
Threshold & Trust
Controlled, muzzle-conditioned exposure below threshold. We rebuild the dog's trust in handling and decision-making instead of suppressing warning signals — the mistake that creates 'sudden' bites.
Behavior Replacement
New default behaviours around the triggers that used to cause explosions: dogs, strangers, food, handling. Structure, obedience under arousal, and a regulated nervous system replace the old pattern.
Real-World Proofing + In-Home Handover
Your streets, your front door, your household. We proof the results in the real world, then transfer the handling to you across 3 in-home handover sessions — included in the price.

Aggressive Dog Board & Train FAQ
How much does board & train for an aggressive dog cost in the GTA?+
$150/day flat with The Dogfather — typical stays run 2–6 weeks ($2,100–$6,300 CAD), all-in: training, boarding, daily video updates, and 3 in-home handover sessions. The GTA norm for board & train is roughly $1,000+/week, and most of those programs won't accept a bite history at all. Your evaluation is free.
Do you take dogs that have already bitten someone?+
Yes — bite histories are our specialty, not a disqualifier. We've rehabilitated 500+ dogs, including dogs with multiple bite incidents and dogs formally refused by other trainers and kennels. Every aggressive dog is handled muzzle-conditioned and housed individually for the safety of everyone involved.
How long does board & train take for an aggressive dog?+
2–6 weeks, set by severity at the evaluation. Moderate reactivity and early-stage aggression typically resolve in 2–3 weeks. Serious or multiple-bite histories usually need 4–6 weeks of immersion before real-world proofing and the in-home handover.
My dog is under a dangerous dog order in Ontario — can you help?+
Yes. We provide structured training plus written documentation that satisfies muzzle and training conditions under Ontario's Dog Owners' Liability Act (DOLA) and municipal dangerous-dog orders. We also support the paperwork side — insurance, bylaw correspondence, and proof-of-training letters.
What happens after my dog comes home?+
3 in-home handover sessions are included in the price. The dog learning new behaviour is half the job — the other half is transferring the handling to you, in your home and your neighbourhood, so the results survive without us.
A Bite History Isn't the End
We've rehabilitated the dogs everyone else gave up on. It starts with a free evaluation — the $50 fee is waived, and there's zero obligation.
