How much does board & train for an aggressive dog cost in the GTA?+
$150/day flat with The Dogfather — typical stays run 2–6 weeks ($2,100–$6,300 CAD), all-in: training, boarding, daily video updates, and 3 in-home handover sessions. The GTA norm for board & train is roughly $1,000+/week, and most of those programs won't accept a bite history at all. The initial 45-minute consultation is free; a formal evaluation, if needed, is $50 and credited toward an enrolled program.
Do you take dogs that have already bitten someone?+
Bite history is not automatically disqualifying, but it must be disclosed and assessed. Dogs with aggression concerns are handled with case-specific safety protocols, including muzzle conditioning and individual housing where appropriate.
How long does board & train take for an aggressive dog?+
2–6 weeks, set by severity at the evaluation. Moderate reactivity and early-stage aggression typically resolve in 2–3 weeks. Serious or multiple-bite histories usually need 4–6 weeks of immersion before real-world proofing and the in-home handover.
My dog is under a dangerous dog order in Ontario — can you help?+
Yes. We provide structured training plus written documentation that satisfies muzzle and training conditions under Ontario's Dog Owners' Liability Act (DOLA) and municipal dangerous-dog orders. We also support the paperwork side — insurance, bylaw correspondence, and proof-of-training letters.
What happens after my dog comes home?+
3 in-home handover sessions are included in the price. The dog learning new behaviour is half the job — the other half is transferring the handling to you, in your home and your neighbourhood, so the results survive without us.
