How much is puppy obedience training in Toronto?
Puppy Obedience training with The Dogfather is $120 per session, sold in 10, 20, or 30-session packages (from $1,200 CAD). The 20-session package includes 1 free session; the 30-session package includes 2 free.Sessions run 1–3× per week in Scarborough & the Toronto GTA and are ongoing based on your puppy's progress and homework — crate and house training, socialization in the critical window, bite inhibition, name response, recall foundation, and leash mechanics. Puppies 8 weeks to 6 months. $50 evaluation included, credited to your program on enrollment.

Puppy Training FAQ
When should I start puppy training?+
The day the puppy comes home. The 8–16 week socialisation window is non-negotiable — what's missed there cannot be fully recovered later. We work with puppies as young as 8 weeks.
Is group class enough for a puppy?+
For some friendly, low-drive puppies — maybe. For working breeds, mixed-breed rescues, fearful puppies, or owners who want real reliability — no. Group class teaches a dog to ignore you in the presence of distractions.
Do you do board & train for puppies?+
Generally no. Puppies need their human's leadership early. We run puppy programs as in-home and facility sessions with the owner involved every step.
How much does puppy training cost in the GTA?+
Puppy training with The Dogfather starts from $1,200 CAD. If you'd rather send your puppy for immersive work, Board & Train runs from $150/day. Every program starts with a $50 in-person evaluation, credited in full toward your program when you enrol.
Is the puppy evaluation free?+
No — the in-person evaluation is $50, paid by Interac e-Transfer to support@dogfather.ca to hold your slot, and it is credited in full toward your program on enrolment. A free 15-minute phone screen is available first if you want to talk it through before booking.

Yes. We're based in Scarborough and run puppy programs across Toronto, Markham, Pickering, Ajax, and the east GTA — in-home and facility sessions with the owner involved every step.
Puppy Obedience Packages
$120/session · sold in 10, 20, or 30-session packages.
Sessions run 1–3× per week, face to face. Packages are ongoing — how many your dog needs depends on their progress and your homework between sessions.
